You know those people you meet and instantly you love them?  Well, that’s how the entire Alta MODA staff felt about Jamie.  Everything from her soft blond curls, best-ever smile, and contagious laugh endeared her to us.  She and Christopher were wed last summer in the Salt Lake temple with a welcoming reception at the groom’s residence.

Ariella and Mitchell were married this past December in the Salt Lake LDS temple.  The bride, who hails from Korea, planned a sumptuous celebration at the Grand America Hotel.

We love a girl that goes for a ball gown.  Once the staple is wedding fashion, they swayed out of popularity for a while, but now they’re back.  Her photos are by Rick Brimhall.

Our thanks go out to the bride and her mom for giving us the pleasure of getting to know this wonderful family.  (We love how you wore your modest Atelier Aimee bridal gown!)

Congratulations Mitchell and Ariella!

This east-coast couple wed last December in the Washington D.C. LDS temple with a festive holiday reception at the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Just days before the bridal photographs, Virginia was blanketed by three feet of snow, as seen in these photos by Emily Jones.  Though cold, the bride mentioned how beautiful everything was.  We agree, the bride looks beautiful!

Congratulations Martha and Jesse.  Thanks for letting us be a part of your wedding.  Our time with you flew by too quickly.

After her busy year and an extended trip to Africa, this lithe and lovely gal wed last summer in Salt lake City.

Sarah wore a modest wedding dress by Model Novias.  Because this design house is so hands-on, they let you personalized all of their styles.  The photography is, once again, brought to you by Miyo of Busath Photography.

Sarah’s mom and sister recounted the story of skewering hundreds of blossoms in the grass to create this dramatic and striking monogram.  Don’t you just love it?!

Alta MODA has been lucky enough to get to know Sarah’s mom, sister Callie (she had a great gown, too!), and just last weekend her sister Diane ordered her Melissa Sweet gown.  Lucky us to be able to work with this fun, close, and rather pretty family.  Thank you so, so much!

When Shardae put on the gown, she just knew it.  She was that sure of herself and that sure of her Monique Lhuillier wedding dress.  She mentioned something to the effect the it just felt like her.  Romantic, pretty, and clever…yep, that’s Shardea.

Her event was held at Sleepy Ridge in Utah County and captured by the talented Darla Roze Photography.

Because of the soft and comfortable fit, any Monique Lhuillier bride can dance the night away.  Comfortable couture.

On the cover, real Alta MODA bride Mara models a Priscilla of Boston gown.  Her actual gowns (yes, there are two) are on order and will be revealed after her big day.  Until then, you can read all about her engagement, wedding details, and the jet-set life this busy bride-to-be orchestrates.

That’s right! Our brides are just that pretty!

Forget fast, this feature might go on as it contains one of my all time favorite couples.

Kim first came into Alta MODA on a Saturday over two years ago.  We had a great time getting to know her, putting her in gowns, and learning all about her fiance and her move from Florida.  The next day, she brought in Sean.  I still remember him pulling up in his big, red truck and feeling a bit intimidated at first.  But I shortly realized his heart was bigger than that truck.

Kim looked great in everything! That’s not an idle compliment, she looked so good it almost made it hard to distinguish “the one”.   But, Sean gets the credit for casually asking about a bridal gown that had caught his eye.  We put her in the magic number from Atelier Aimee and you could almost see an epiphany light glow overhead.  Kim ordered the gown, accompanied by a custom chapel-length veil and silk shoe both from Atelier Aimee, both adorned with the same beaded detail found on her gown.

Though plans changed and modified, Kim and Sean kept a clear vision of their wedding day and were married on the 4th of July at Johnson Mill in Midway, Utah.

To Kim and Sean, I can’t thank you enough for your sense-of-humor, style, and for including us in the plans.  You will most definitely be an all-time favorite.

Amy came to us with an eye for style.  So, she naturally gravitated toward an amazing gown in some of the finest fabric we have in the boutique.

The personal wedding took place at the Salt Lake Library; a beautiful, modern landmark in Utah.  Amy’s lace bridal gown is by Atelier Aimee.  Her joyous wedding photography was by The Youngrens.
