Golden Globe Gowns

01/16/12 - By: Hilary - Topics: - 1 Comment

There is so much inspiration to be pulled from the red carpet, and last night proved even more so with the Golden Globes fashion parade.

There were many dominating trends: dramatic backs, sleeves (A Utah fav/must-have), bold Valentine colors (red/pink), nudes and neutrals.

It was a tough task narrowing down our favorites to an acceptable blog post length, so indulge in a few of our top choices:

Claire Danes in J. Mendel -  The modern simplicity and stunning low back

Fast Feature: Chandler

12/20/11 - By: Hilary - Topics: , - 1 Comment

Chandler and John were married on a beautiful fall day amidst the valleys and vineyards of Napa, California.

Chandler wore a silk organza Vera Wang gown, and was further adorned with a pair of glittering Paris crystal and pearl drop earrings. John was looking dapper in a custom-made three-piece suit from Beckett & Robb.

The whole amazing affair was coordinated by the ladies of Enjoy Events, Co., and  was captured by W. Scott Chester Photography.

Thank you, Chandler and John, for sharing your special day with us. Congratulations!

Alright brides, you know his dresses “are off the beaten path”, but doesn’t that idea make them more and more appealing? (That’s what we love about them and him!)

If you’ve been in the store, it’s likely you were stopped in your tracks by a Jorge Manuel design. They’re very singular, architectural, and contemporary.

Just like this one:

New York Fashion Week is in full swing. And since we’re devout fans of Monique Lhuillier, watching her runway show was a not to be missed event.

Her collections always each have a distinct voice – ready to wear and bridal. You usually get a full dose of the bridal workings here, so we though we’d share with you a few of our favorites from her recently debuted Spring 2012 RTW line.

The latest issue of Martha Stewart Weddings gracefully uses bridal fashion as the centerpiece of the issue.  The pages are teaming with wearable beauty.

Martha Stewart Weddings - The Fashion Issue

What I love, in particular, is the fashion editorial section that showcases Icons of the Aisle. One of their chosen icons is the design duo of Badgley Mischka.  A line added to our boutique earlier this year, we’re already feeling right at home with this glamorous  collection. You’ll love it, as well.
