In honor of our super fabulous brides making the walk down the outdoor aisle today, here’s a quick tip for outdoor Utah weddings:

Don a quick spritz of bug spray hours before your celebration.  This gives the scent time to dissipate and keeps the liquid away from your gown.  As a good back-up for later in the night, have one of your bridesmaids keep a few dryer-sheets handy.  Smooth it over your exposed skin to keep bugs away for a few more hours.  Dryer-sheets are good bug repellent that smell nice and run no risk of leaving a residue on your beautiful wedding dress.

Enjoy the great outdoors.

Yenny came to Alta MODA just three weeks prior to her wedding date.  Looking through the racks, she instantly spotted a particular wedding dress and selected it to try on with a few others.  It was the first bridal gown she put on and instantly she knew it was the one.

The bride’s wedding dress is by Augusta Jones Couture. (Brides, you know you love Augusta!)

Yenny and her very sweet husband Dave were married last month at their residence in Park City, Utah.

The event was designed by LMG Events and catered by Culinary Crafts.  (Nothing but love for those two!)

You may recognize Salt Lake’s luxury department store in these photos.  You may not.  But, this stylish couple, Noelle and Gharzai, met and work for said retailer.  This afforded them the chance to slip in after-hours for a highly conceptualized engagement session.

Their session is dramatic, personal, and genuinely unique.  I love how they let their personalities shine and how Mitch at ZumaPhoto crafted these images.  Well done, all!

Too much beauty in one room!  Monique Lhuillier’s collection was strong, feminine, and grand.  You’re going to fall head over heels for the new textures.  She is the innovator of dimension, and you haven’t seen anything like what has she crafted for her Spring 2011 line.

The wedding dress above is mixes sheer with opaque, and smooth with textured.

Artistry belongs in bridal…it can’t live without it, actually. (And neither should you!)   One of the truest artists in the bridal world is Debra Moreland. Her wedding accessories are crafted with the highest standards and exude beauty.

Kate and I had the chance to meet with Debra and her lovely staff today.  They personally helped us select amazing bridal accessories that we know the Utah bride will adore.
