Dear Brides,
Don’t worry about fitting into a category, don’t follow every rule you read, rather wear what you love. We’ve had brides find the dress of their dreams, but then wonder, “will this work on a beach?” What matters most is that it works on you.
Alta MODA’s very own Kate got married ocean-side in the Bahamas in a fabulous silk satin, A-line gown. Way to break the rules, Kate. We’ve seen ball gowns on the beach and column gowns in a cathedral. Just love your gown.
One recent Alta MODA bride, who has a fabulous figure and killer curves, was told (by the books and others) not to wear a trumpet skirt. This gal not only fit beautifully into our samples, but she found her perfect bridal gown in a trumpet shaped Monique Lhuillier wedding dress.
All in all, throw caution to the wind and find the gown that really speaks to you. It’s that simple.
Wear what you love!
-Hilary

PS- How beautiful is Kate? I promise I don’t hire on looks alone.
