The Alta Moda Bridal BlogA brides guide to the dress and the rest

A Quick Thank You

Hi, I’m Hilary and I write most of the posts here.  So, you’re often stuck with my voice, syntax, and musings.  But, there’s so much more to Alta MODA and the true voice of our bridal shop goes far beyond mine.  Much, much further.

Having recently returned to the shop after a seminar, sweeping changes took effect.  The impressive staff you know and love not once blinked at the new ideas, but rather ran with them.  Bridal mavens each of them.

Jamie heads-up managing and keeping us all on task (I’m her biggest challenge).  Melissa supervises all alterations (no small task), and Kate sees over merchandising and the occasional (frequent) giving of a hard time to Melissa. (That particular task is rather enjoyable, actually.)  Melodie joins us on the weekends and helps keep control of bustling  Saturdays.

Now, if you have been or are a current Alta MODA bride, (yay!) you’ve met at least one of our two seamstresses. The magic combination for a perfect (and I do mean perfect) seamstress isn’t just skill, experience, and talent.  No, it seems the secret is intelligent, eloquent, (somewhat quirky) red-heads.  That’s the mark of a wedding dress alterationist extraordinaire.  (How lucky am I that I have two that fit that bill?)  I have had the privileged of working with Pamela for nine years. (Always joke she should have been one of my sisters.)  Sarah was roped in by yours truly two years ago.

Though you may not hear their voices on this blog too often, each of these wonderful women make-up what Alta MODA is; devoted to you.  Whether you’re a bride, wedding pro, friend, vendor, or fan (hoping all of the prior fit into the fan category) these women who make my life easy are here for you.

Thank you for reading my over-due thank you.

- Hilary
